Apprenticeship In Warehousing

What will the programme involve?

Based at one of sites in Gatwick, Crawley, Burgess Hill or East Grinstead as an Apprentice Warehouse Assistant you will work as a member of the team learning about every aspect of the smooth running of our busy warehouses, from producing an order pick list to the final dispatch of goods, as well as supporting and assisting with stock control.

As part of the apprenticeship you will also be required to complete the competence based Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (QCF), the knowledge based Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Principles (QCF) as well as Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT Level 1. In order to do that you will be allocated your own Assessor from our training provider Campus Training.

Your assessor will visit you regularly in the workplace to assess the competency and knowledge based elements of the apprenticeship. Our apprentices progress to a variety of roles.

What are we looking for from you?

To apply for the ILG warehousing apprenticeship programme you must be hard working, reliable, have sound IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You do not need to have previous work experience just a desire to learn and progress.

The rewards

A salary of £15,000 per annum is offered with salary increase to £16,341 following completion of the apprenticeship which usually takes 12 months. In addition, following probation, you will be eligible for the ILG bonus scheme and ILG benefits scheme.
