Companies and individuals across the warehousing and third party logistics sectors were recently rewarded for outstanding performance and professionalism at the National UKWA Awards 2017.
The prestigious award of Warehouse Company of the Year was awarded to International Logistics Group (ILG). This is a corporate award given to the company showing the highest professional standards of warehousing. UKWA described ILG as a highly professional and well-led company that demonstrates best practice and total commitment to UKWA’s key principles of working safely, ethically and profitably.
Along with the Warehouse Company of the Year Award, the innovative approach ILG have taken at their new flagship site this year was rewarded as SEC Group and ILG won the Technical Innovation Award for the project. The bespoke system installed by SEC Group, which provides over 1,000 picking locations, has helped ILG to optimise picking efficiency and provide a service for their clients which meets the increasingly high expectations of online customers.Watch the video case study here
The RoSPA Achievements Awards recognise an organisation’s individual occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria. To achieve the highest level of award ILG evidenced a good health and safety management system adopted across the organisation.
This Award is open to businesses with more than £2 million turnover which are based in, or conducting most of their business from, Sussex and is made to the most outstanding business in the region.

Despite recent economic challenges it has maintained its CSR commitment and continued to operate in a responsible and ethical way. This top down commitment to CSR, and an ability to demonstrate its value to all concerned is exceptional’
Presented to the business which the judging panel consider best demonstrate how their CSR strategy has impacted positively on the local community, engaged staff and influenced others.
Full membership was awarded following a rigorous inspection by a UKWA Council official to ensure operation to the highest minimum standards in 11 critical areas of warehousing.
As a BIFA member ILG adopt a code of conduct, and trade under a nationally accepted set of Standard Trading Conditions that are backed in the insurance sector.
