Warehouse Section Manager
Before joining ILG I worked mainly in the retail sector on the high street and at the airport. My roles were sales advisor and supervisor.
I was made redundant in my previous job at the airport and was looking for a job which involved something different. I joined ILG via an agency and then I was offered a permanent job.
My job involves fulfilling different customer contracts in the warehouse. This involves picking, packing and shipping as well as supervising a small team. In addition to this I also book in new stock that is delivered and train staff on new contracts.
I started as an agency worker and I was then offered a permanent part time job as a Warehouse Assistant. I worked my way through the training matrix and gradually learnt different contracts and this has enabled me to take on the role of Team Leader. I am also qualified as a first Aider.
The working environment at ILG is very friendly, I enjoy the fast paced nature of the work and I also like the family atmosphere. I know most of the people working in the various departments.
I enjoy my current role as a Team Leader but if an opportunity arises in the future at ILG that would be suitable for me I would certainly consider it.
ILG is a good company to work for, hard work is rewarded and appreciated and there is always scope to move further within the company.
