What did you do before you joined ILG?
Before I joined ILG I was studying business and digital media at college whilst working as a Customer Assistant at Tesco. Once I completed my college course I started my level 4 in Professional Digital Marketing with CIM, which I successfully completed whilst working at ILG.
Why did you join ILG?
I joined because while studying at college, I completed a week’s work experience at ILG where I got to spend time within each department, including marketing which grabbed my attention making me want to pursue my career in marketing.
What does your job involve?
My job involves many different and interesting tasks such as scoping the market for new prospects and assisting with the sales process. I also help with photoshoots and videoshoots which I really enjoy. I run ILG’s social media accounts alongside my colleague and I help with internal comms and keeping the branding updated within our sites. I also help maintain and update our website.
What do you like most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is that every day is different and with this comes frequent learning and adapting new skills. I also work in a great team who are very supportive and helpful.
How would you describe the working environment and culture?
I would describe my work environment as very reactive and creative, for example we might need to turn around campaigns within a short amount of time, and at ILG the culture is great as your opinion is always valued.
How would you describe the training you received?
My training was great! Before joining ILG I had never worked in an office role before and did not have much ‘real life’ knowledge. However since working here I have gained so many skills that I will take forward for the rest of my career.
