Apprenticeship in Warehousing

What will the programme involve?

Based at one of sites in Gatwick, Crawley, Burgess Hill or East Grinstead as an Apprentice Warehouse Assistant you will work as a member of the team learning about every aspect of the smooth running of our busy warehouses, from producing an order pick list to the final dispatch of goods, as well as supporting and assisting with stock control.

As part of the apprenticeship you will also be required to complete the competence based Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (QCF), the knowledge based Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Principles (QCF) as well as Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT Level 1. In order to do that you will be allocated your own Assessor from our training provider Outsource.

Your assessor will visit you regularly in the workplace to assess the competency and knowledge based elements of the apprenticeship. Our apprentices progress to a variety of roles.

Our apprentice stories

I have never worked in anything even remotely similar to warehousing but I can honestly say it is the best career change I will ever make

My advice to anyone who would consider applying to ILG is go for it! You will feel very supported and will be working in a great team in whichever role you would like to take. You won’t regret it.
