Interim Recruitment Manager – 6 month FTC

Overview:

Location: Based in East Grinstead. Ad hoc travel in the South region is required, so ability to travel and full driving licence is essential

Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday, 6 month fixed term contract

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience plus commission and phone allowance

ILG are looking for a motivated individual to take up a 6 month post as our Interim Recruitment Manager to continue and support the ambitious growth plans of the business.

Working at part of the HR team, responsible for the advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and appointment process for all external and internal recruitment. Working closely with line managers and HR administration to ensure a professional recruitment process that enhances ILG’s reputation and attracts a high standard of applicant to meet ILG’s current and future needs. This role will be based at East Grinstead but the successful candidate must have transport and mobility to visit all ILG sites.

Your Role

Responsible for the whole recruitment process including:

  • Working with managers to ensure job descriptions and selection criteria reflect the requirements of the role
  • Write job advertisements that includes key information and attract a high calibre of applicant
  • Shortlist incoming applications and arrange interviews/send decline
  • Conduct first interviews and design appropriate testing.  Ensure decision are supported by objective criteria
  • Arrange second interviews where required
  • Pass clear details to HR administration
  • Creating and supporting the HR administration for new starters, inducting new starters to the business.
  • Liaison with ILG’s apprenticeship provider to ensure a stream of suitable candidates are introduced to ILG and that roles are advertised on the National Apprentice Service website.
  • Build relationships with University of Sussex and Brighton University to promote placement opportunities and recruit to those roles.
  • Liaise with local schools/colleges to promote apprenticeship scheme and attend careers fairs and recruitment events
  • Maintain and apply up to date knowledge of employment legislation relevant to recruitment
  • Keep track of recruitment metrics e.g. cost per recruit, time to hire and ensure kept within targets and budget
  • Any other duties applicable to the job role

About You

To join the team, you’ll need:

  • Proven recruitment management experience either in a recruitment agency environment or of direct recruitment to an organisation
  • Experience of shortlisting, interviewing (telephone/face to face) and testing candidates
  • Familiar with a range of recruitment channels including social media, job boards etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • Highly organised to manage and high volume to applicants to a range of job roles at different stages in the recruitment process
  • Flexible to respond to changing priorities
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation relevant to the recruitment process
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
