Marketing Assistant


Location: Based in East Grinstead

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Salary: £23,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Your Role

The role of the Marketing Assistant is to work with and support the ILG Marketing Team with ILG’s day-to-day marketing activities. In addition, the Marketing Assistant will occasionally assist the HR and Business Development teams with communication and creative projects.

  • Support the Marketing Team in implementing the marketing strategy, in line with ILG’s vision and values
  • Undertake online market research and data mining for potential customers using external database and other sources (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Liaise with external suppliers (e.g. digital agency, printers, web agency, designers) to deliver marketing projects, as required
  • Use WordPress CMS to update website pages, manage content and create new landing pages
  • Use HubSpot to manage marketing contact lists and create outbound emails (to targets, customers and staff)
  • Support management of ILG social media accounts, in line with marketing objectives. Make regular social posts on ILG accounts to promote campaigns, company news and blog articles
  • Support team with creation of content (e.g. writing blog articles, and producing short videos)
  • Design marketing assets, such as press ads and ebooks
  • Artwork posters, signage and other materials for internal communications and site branding
  • Help to plan and manage photo and video shoots (including attending shoots on location, as necessary)
  • Support the planning and execution of live or online marketing events
  • Assist with the production of sales literature or presentations as required by the Business Development Team and ensure compliance with ILG’s brand guidelines
  • Support Sales team to capture inbound telephone and web enquiries
  • Use Ruler Analytics and Salesforce to gather data and create monthly reports about enquiries

About You

To join the team, you’ll need:

  • Relevant degree subject
  • Relevant work experience in sales and marketing
  • Interest in a marketing career
  • Proven ability to write effectively and accurately
  • Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Confidence to quickly pick up new software (e.g. HubSpot, WordPress, Salesforce, TAMI)
  • Good communicator and team player, able to quickly develop working relationships with a wide range of people across the business
  • Ability to manage time and organise workload in a team setting
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing, including PPC, SEO, paid and organic social media
