Due to growth, diversification and expansion in the scope of our operations, we’re looking for a HR Advisor to provide a efficient and professional service to our Northampton and Egham.

As a HR Advisor, you will provide support to the HR Manager to deliver an efficient HR service to ILG’s Northampton and Egham sites through effective management of employee relations issues, training and development and all HR administration in line with ILG policies and employment legislation.

40 hours per week, 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday

Your Role

To support the HR Manager to deliver an efficient HR service to ILG’s Northampton and Egham sites through effective management of employee relations issues, training and development and all HR administration in line with ILG policies and employment legislation.
To support the Health and Safety and Facilities Manager to deliver compliance with Health and Safety legislation and internal policies.

  • First point of contact for HR advice, support and assistance to line management and staff. Build effective working relationships with staff at all levels providing advice and guidance on ILG HR policies and employment legislation
  • Manage a range of employee relations cases including conducting investigations, and advising at grievance and disciplinary meetings
  • Co-ordinate all new joiner administration including the delivery of induction, new starter paperwork and HRIS set up. Act as a main point of contact for new starters
  • Sickness absence management – monitor sickness levels and provide advice to line managers. Conduct sickness absence management meetings in line with policy.
  • Conduct exit interviews with leavers and feedback finding to line managers
  • Assist in the maintenance of all HR records including holiday records, sickness records, changes to terms and conditions pay reviews and quarterly bonus calculations. Produce management reports as required
  • Supporting the HR Manager with ongoing and future HR projects e.g. wellbeing month, employee survey, performance management etc
  • Assist Managers in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, policies and guidance notes
  • Assist with Health and Safety accident and hazard investigations and ensure compliance with reporting requirements

About You

To join the team, you’ll need:

  • · Able to demonstrate sound administration skills with good accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
  • · Sound communication skills, both verbally and written skills. Able to draft emails/letters conveying sensitive information. (essential)
  • · Previous experience of handling investigations, disciplinary and grievance issues (highly desirable), both formal and informal, including writing investigation reports and acting as the HR Representative at Hearings to provide advice.
  • · H&S experience including conducting accident investigations and reporting (highly desirable) and knowledge of employment legislation (essential)
  • · Previous experience of interviewing and supporting recruitment processes (desirable)
  • · Ability to multi-task and understand different departments needs and demands
  • · Experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and Word to an advanced level.
  • · CIPD qualified (desirable)
  • · The role will be predominantly based at ILG’s Northampton site with some regular travel required to ILG’s Egham site. A small amount of travel may be required to ILG’s West Sussex sites and Head Office, so a full UK driving licence with access to a car is essential.
