Finance Administration Assistant - Undergraduate Placement

This role is an opportunity for you on your undergraduate placement to spend 12 months with our Finance Team supporting and covering all aspects of the Finance functions including payables, receivables, cost management, accounts preparation and the production of statutory accounts. Allowing you to understand and explore the roles within the finance department and the role they provide in a growing and ambitious 3pl company environment.

Your Role

  • Importing and manipulating large volumes of carrier data, and investigating variances arising between invoiced charges and accruals within our internal systems
  • Assisting with Labour cost reporting and liaising with Operational budget holders on payroll & agency costs
  • Providing support as required to the Management Accountant and Financial Controller
  • Maintenance of detailed P&L schedules to reduce risk of errors and omissions
  • Raising manual sales invoice, manage Customer accounts and assist with credit control activities

About You

To join the team, you’ll need:


  • Fully conversant MS Office Skills; Intermediate Excel to include look up formulas and pivot tables
  • Diligent, working to a high degree of accuracy and adhere to procedures
  • Experience of handling first level complaints and difficult situations in a calm and effective manner
  • Proven ability to work successfully as part of the team, a quick communicator and able to develop working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills and an ability to see an issue through to resolution dealing directly with suppliers + clients to resolve queries and raise enquiries
