With the holiday season just around the corner, the number of parcels moving through the global network is set to grow exponentially over the coming months. To prepare its network and ensure continuity of service for the forthcoming peak, UPS has notified us that it will be introducing a Temporary Peak Service Surcharge from 1st October 2022.
This Temporary Peak Service Surcharge will apply to Large Packages and Over Maximum Limit as well as Additional Handling.
Additional Handling | GBP 5.9 |
Large Package | GBP 54.0 |
Over Maximum Limits | GBP 239.0 |
Effective from 1st October 2022 until 14th January 2023, the Temporary Peak Season Surcharge will be a flat fee per parcel charged in addition to existing rates, surcharges and/or fees.
As of now, none of our other carrier partners has implemented similar surcharges but we will inform you immediately if they do. Meanwhile, we continue to liaise with UPS in an effort to remove or reduce this surcharge.
If you have any questions or would like to explore alternative routing options, please reach out to your usual ILG contact.
